You might have also noticed...No real interest in the car. No details on how it will be shipped. No concern about how the interstate title transfer is to be done. What you will find out is this: You get a "cashiers" check. He wants to you send him the extra by Western Union, or send the transportation fee by Western Union. Your bank will give you the CASH value of the cashiers check immediately. However, the cashiers check will be forged and your bank will deducted the FULL AMOUNT plus services charges from your account anywhere from a week to a month or two after you deposit it. |
| I doubt it was a scam. Well if you advertise to sell your car on the internet, you really have to be careful with that. If an interested buyer contacted you, you have to be wise enough in gathering complete information to make sure that you will not be scammed by him. But if I were in your place it is more proper to set a date to meet up. In that way, you can assure that the transaction is going well between you and the car buyer. |

Read my reply #1 again. it is absolutely a scam. |
| It is really risky to neither sell nor buy a goods on line. In your case, I must say that rushing things would really be a suspected matter to have. I think, you should be very sure on the things that is related to him. Background check would be preferable of, or even meeting the person involve would also be a good alternative. I hope it will be a good help. |
| Yup, it has the word scam written all over it. He did not seem interested in the car and it's quite strange that he is in a rush to release and part with his money to a complete stranger. It's a good thing you sensed it beforehand. Sometimes, it is better to ask your family and friends if they know any one who wants to buy a car just to be safe. |
